CHESTERFIELD - The Ministry of Community Outreach autonomous Methodist Church, 12033 River Road, is sponsoring a Gift Gifts of love for the general public from 8 am to noon at 20831 Peak Road (corner of road and road Woodpecker Hickory, next to Burger King). There will be free household items, clothing, shoes and food available.
PETERSBURG - The Department of Youth Cornerstone Ministries, 3071 County Drive, is organizing a garage sale and the proposed dinner from 7 am until 2:00 p.m. This project will assist the Ministry of Youth to buy school supplies and plan ahead for celebration of the return to school.
HOPEWELL - The Daughters of Esther Women's Ministry is presenting its eighth annual conference, "Rise Up and Walk," from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 925 Arlington Road. The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Sylvia Tucker, chaplain at John Randolph Medical Center. Workshop presenters include Minister Joanne Gilliam and Minister Felicia Gonzales of Zion Hill Church, Hopewell, Rev. Rebecca Moody of Friendship Baptist Church, Hopewell, and Zakyya Mahammad of Cultural Village in Petersburg will do a workshop on fair trade. PETERSBURG - Pastor Terrence A. Allen's 10th anniversary of ministry in Petersburg will be celebrated during the Sabbath service at 9 a.m. Pastor Shirl Saunders and the Reconciliation Fellowship family will minister. All are welcome.

Mount Carmel In Talks To Build Medical Center In Grove City | WBNS ...
GROVE CITY, Ohio — Mount Carmel Health is expanding and administrators are in talks to build a new medical center that will serve residents in southwestern Franklin County, 10TV's Ashleigh Barry reported on Tuesday.
Mount Carmel said it wants to expand so that it can provide residents near Grove City with state-of-the-art care that they can only currently get by driving to locations in Columbus.
The hospital is in contract talks to secure more than 100 acres near Interstate 71 that was the site of Grovebrook Golf Club. The land would need to be rezoned before any construction takes place, Barry reported.
If constructed, the facility would operate similar to the complex that Mount Carmel opened on Diley Road in Canal Winchester last year. The medical center there offers 24-hour emergency care and a full palate of imaging services, like MRIs and ultrasounds, Barry reported.
Hugh Jones with Mount Carmel Health System said the hospital hears from people often who wish there was a facility that offered those services located closer to them.
"In some ways we're trying to catch up with the growth that Grove City has experienced over the years," Jones said.
Mount Carmel hopes to begin construction by the end of the year and be in full operation by 2013, Barry reported.
