To several charges in the death of Jodyn Bakely, including manslaughter, aggravated criminal O.U.I. and leaving the scene of an accident. Prosecutors say Cheney was driving on the wrong side of the road when he struck Bakely, killing her instantly. The defense says they've got the wrong guy. If jury selection wraps up early enough, the trial could begin that afternoon.TUESDAY - The Legislature's Office of Program Evaluation and Government Accountability (OPEGA) will weigh in on a land deal that has raised some eyebrows. The warden of the Maine State Prison recently bought a piece of real estate from the State, and the Attorney General says that deal shouldn't have gone through. The State houses the Warden at a property on Ship Street Circle in Thomaston. in June for $175,000, well under the real estate broker's value estimate and less than half the town's assessment of the property. The Attorney General says the sale violates state law.
